Level matters more than comfort
An RV that sits out of level is not just annoying to walk around in. An absorption refrigerator will not cool correctly off level and can be permanently damaged by prolonged operation that way. Slides bind and wear when the frame is twisted, doors stop latching, and tanks drain incompletely.
That makes a leveling failure worth fixing promptly rather than working around with blocks for a season. The refrigerator alone is a far more expensive part than the jack repair.
A jack that drops overnight is telling you something specific
When one hydraulic jack settles while the others hold position, the leak is internal to that cylinder or its valve rather than a system-wide fluid problem. That is a useful diagnostic — it narrows the repair to one component instead of a full system teardown.
Running low on fluid, by contrast, tends to affect everything at once and usually means there is an external leak at a hose or fitting somewhere. Both are repairable on site; they just are not the same job.
